Adam Lopez joins Mad Dog & The Smokin’ J’s

Another thing i kept forgetting to post. The thing about being a genius is it’s hard to keep track of all the amazing shit rushing through my brain. Anywho, Adam Lopez, my good friend, musical mentor, and colleague just joined up with a radass, nation level, busy as hell  Denver Rockabilly/Roots band by the name of Mad Dog & The Smokin’ J’s. You want to see this band.  They are kicking off a pretty huge tour any day now, through Colorado, AZ, CA, and probably a lot other places as well. For details check out http://adamlopezmusic.com/mad_dog_and_the_smokin_js/ for their ridiculously packed tour schedule, and band bio. Don’t forget to check out the rest of the site for Artist info, Adam’s Blog, Tips, Tricks, Guitar Lessons, Music, and whatever else a man that could kill another man using only the awesome power of guitar (i’ve seen it) thinks about.

Favorite Track(s): Murderers Are Getting Prettier Every Day, Breaking The Same Old Ground

I literally just finished listening to the bonus track (to which Johnny Depp contributes a drum and co-production credit) and i am pretty impressed. For my first listen, (my opinion always changes/evolves as I listen to a record for the 2nd, 3rd, and 33rd time) It started off a bit slow, but really picked up in the last 1/3 of the album. Look back here for a more complete and in-depth review whenever i feel like it.
